- Students who wish to take courses from different universities during the 2024/2025 summer term must complete the following steps in full:
Application Process
- The summer school course enrollment form must be filled out completely, signed, and scanned;
- The syllabi of the planned courses must be attached in PDF format or as a screenshot;
- All documents must be sent in a single e-mail to seyit.sis@balikesir.edu.tr. The updated version of the form can be downloaded here.
- Course registration will be carried out based on the approval e-mail to be sent by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyit Ahmet SİS.
Important Considerations
- In accordance with Article 7 of the Balıkesir University Summer School Regulations, the total number of credits for courses to be taken during the summer term may not exceed 12 credits, calculated on the basis of BAUN course credits.
- The official transcript indicating the academic performance of the courses taken at other universities must be submitted to the Dean’s Office, attached to the official cover letter issued by the respective university, prior to the add-drop week of the 2025-2026 Fall Semester.
- Otherwise, students shall not be entitled to make any claims regarding these courses.
Equivalency Criteria
- Pursuant to the Balıkesir University Directive on Exemption and Adaptation Procedures:
- The national credit of the course to be considered equivalent must be at least 65% of the corresponding BAUN course credit; if no national credit is assigned, its ECTS credit must be at least 75% of the BAUN ECTS credit.
- The course syllabi must overlap by at least 75% in content.
