For graduation, students who have fulfilled the attendance and practice requirements for all courses except for their internship are granted the right to take a single-course makeup exam if they have failed only one course. Furthermore, students who have received passing grades in all courses but cannot achieve the 2.00 cumulative grade point average (AGNO) required for graduation are granted the right to take a single-course exam in a course of their choice, provided that the grade they receive from this exam can raise their AGNO to at least 2.00. Single-course exams are held on the dates specified in the academic calendar. To pass the single-course exam, a letter grade of at least DD must be obtained. In-semester exam scores are not taken into account when determining this letter grade.

Students wishing to apply for the single-course exam must submit their applications with a signed petition by September 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM (Applications submitted before or after September 18, 2026, and after 5:00 PM on September 18, 2026, will not be accepted.). Students must deliver their signed petitions in person to our Department Secretary, Adnan Kirli, or via email to eem@balikesir.edu.tr.
