Announcement Regarding the Circuit Design / Graduation Project Advising Process

Dear Students,

Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, a new advising and project selection system will be implemented to conduct the Circuit Design course and the subsequent Graduation Project in a more structured, transparent, and preference-based manner.

Under this new system, the research areas of our faculty members and sample project topics will be shared with you prior to course registrations. A quota of 7 students per faculty member has been established. Students are expected to carefully review these fields of study and sample topics, identify instructors aligned with their interests, and make their course/advisor preferences accordingly.

Furthermore, students who are currently working with a faculty member on projects such as TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B, BAP (Scientific Research Projects), or similar initiatives, or who have already reached a mutual agreement regarding their Circuit Design/Graduation Project advising, must notify the department by submitting the attached form to eem@balikesir.edu.tr no later than Friday, September 4, 2026.

As this term serves as a transition period to the new system, students who have not yet met or agreed with an advisor by September 4, 2026, may still contact faculty members. In the event of a mutual agreement, these notifications must be completed by September 11, 2026.

Students whose notifications are submitted and confirmed by the prospective advisor will be directly assigned to that instructor without entering the general advisor selection/assignment pool; the faculty member's available quota will be updated accordingly. For the notification to be valid, the relevant faculty member must confirm their advisory acceptance via their institutional email address.
